Pennia Mavedzenge

Director - Resource Acquistion and Communications

Pennia Mavedzenge is the Resource Acquisition and Communication Director for World Vision Zambia, overseeing fundraising efforts and strategic communications to enhance the organisation’s impact.
She previously served as Business Development and Grants Management Director for World Vision Malawi for five years. She also worked as a Regional Grants Quality Assurance Advisor for the Southern Africa Regional Office (SAR) and held key roles with World Vision Zimbabwe, including Senior Programs Officer in the Grants Management Unit and Programs Officer under Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs (HEA).
Beyond World Vision, Pennia has worked with OXFAM, Norwegian People’s Aid, and the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, contributing her expertise in program development, grant management, and humanitarian response.
She holds a Master of Public Administration in Public & Development Management from the University of Stellenbosch, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Public & Development Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning & Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe.
