Ms. Mabel Mung’omba

Board Chairperson

Mabel Mung’omba has been serving on the World Vision Zambia Board since 2019 and is the Board Chairperson. 

Mabel is also currently managing Upstart and Belcomm Limited, two companies’ that she co-founded. Mabel is involved in a number of consultancies with corporate companies and public sector organizations. She also works with a number of SME organization assisting with development of skills for enterprise development. She is actively involved in consultancy work in Zambia and the region and her focus is Leadership, strategy development, Branding and communication, management and organization development. Mabel’s previous background is Extensive experience in working in the public and private sector and in organizing and facilitating trainings. Certified organizational development and RBM trainer. More than 20 years of work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Zambia. Worked in international teams of trainers for leadership and management in Africa for over 10 years. 18 years of experience in high-level executive management in both the private and public sector in Zambia. 

She holds an MBA from Cardiff Business school and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Zambia. 

Mabel is married with two children and attends the catholic church.
